my birthday

i’m generally so bad about taking my cameras anywhere other than jobs. since i actually had my camera, i thought i’d post some of the saner pics from my super fun all girls birthday celebration. we started with some chill time on the roof of the standard then had great dinner at cafe pinot where i shoot all the time but never get to relax at, then went on to the fabulous edison for drinks and finally back to the standard for late night fun, food and finally to sleep. i only took my camera to the standard and pinot so you don’t get to see the rest of my great girlfriends who joined us later but here is the overnight crew.

when we left pinot we saw this man. i asked to take his picture because i loved his sign and his face and he sweetly and humbly agreed. so many people on the street from all walks of life have been so less than sweet and humble when i asked to shoot them. this guy didn’t even ask us for money. it was my birthday, i bought myself a fat room at the standard, a great dinner, and $15 drinks, there was no excuse for not giving this guy a $20. i have no control over what he spends it on. but he told me what he really needed was new pants so i hope thats what he gets with it.

3 am dining at the standard restaurant. we are all some combination of tired, tipsy, and punchy and the pics show it.

i just really want to go take a shower in our super cool shower.
